So I am faced with a rather large decision that I need to make in the next few months and you could maybe, possibly help me!

I start university in September, I could either choose a Bachelor in Games Design, or a Bachelor in Animation.

My main problem is, I'm not sure EXACTLY what I want to do in the end, I just know what aspects I'd like it to involve.

What I want:

~I'd like to learn and possibly use 3D animation in the future. I'm not sure if I'd want to do it constantly as a job, but I do it now and I enjoy what I have experienced so far with programs like Blender and Zbrush. I'm not entirely proficient so I know there's alot I'm missing out on, but that would be one of the bigger things I'd like to do.

~2D animation is something I'd like to do as well, but I wouldn't want to be -just- an animator. I'm not sure about other people, but I can't keep working on the same thing over and over again like frames, besides, I'd like to work in my own style and put my own spin on things.

~Character Design. This is what I -might- be aiming for, however I was reading in ImagineFX that the way to become a successful character designer is to be flexible with different styles and try to steer clear of anime all together. My art can still be classed as Anime, so that'd be pretty much starting at square one.

~Programming - Again this is something I have experience in but wouldn't want as a full time job. I know how code works, I can talk about it, but I certainly wouldn't want to have myself elbow deep in code all day every day. Occasionally would be ok!

So the difference between these courses is that the Games Design course has more of a spread out approach over different media and subjects. It covers everything from 3D animation to Programming and will give me a strong grounding in alot of things, but not a specialty in any.

Animation covers mostly 2D and 3D animation and that is it. I don't think it has much else.

So, with all of this information, any suggestions of a career choice for me? I'd really REALLY appreciate some feedback!
